Our booking and reservation procedure is simple and not online.  We’d rather talk directly with you and find out what your expectations and questions are about the trawler school and the Nordic Tug 32 we use for the class boat.  The subject matter for the classes is involved and the questions usually are as well.  It’s a more personal way to answer the many questions that you are likely to have and open the dialogue.

Trawler School Reservations
A reservation deposit of 50% of the trawler school tuition is required to confirm your class dates.  We will hold your dates requested for five (5) business days if you prefer to mail a check. You can pay your confirmation deposit with any of the major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.  Checks are always preferred or the funds can be wired to us as well.  Use tax will not be charged until the class tuition balance is due.  Reservations inside 30 days of class commencement require the full tuition balance.

Trawler School Confirmation
Your class will be confirmed when your deposit is received. Confirmation documents will be forwarded to you via your preferred method of communication for your authorization.  We’ve incorporated E-Signature documents for ease and convenience of signing the necessary documents and contracts. For those without email and internet connectivity, we’re happy to mail the documents for your review and signature.

Trawler School Balance
The balance of your course tuition is due 30 days prior to your class commencement.  You may pay the balance via any of the major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.  We like points just as much as the next person and don’t want to spoil your trip to Fiji, but we always prefer checks and as mentioned, we will accept wired funds as well.

Cancellation Policy
Our cancellation policy only exists because of life’s unpredictable circumstances.  Our season is short and our course offerings even shorter.  Consequently when a class has been booked for a period of time, there likely have been requests for that course since a booking was made.  It simply is difficult to make up lost business due to a cancellation with a limited class selection and season.  Any confirmed class cancellations may be rebooked within the same calendar year without penalty.  The graduated cancellation fees policy been established to ensure a reasonable and fair approach if life’s unpredictable circumstances occur.

  • Confirmed class cancellations made 90 days prior to class commencement date result in a 25% deposit forfeiture.
  • Confirmed class cancellations made 60 days prior to class commencement date result in a 50% deposit forfeiture.
  • Confirmed class cancellations made 31 days  prior to class commencement date will result in a 75% deposit forfeiture.
  • Confirmed class cancellations made 30 days or less to departure, the entire charter fee is forfeited.

If your confirmed class dates can be rebooked in full, and you are not able to rebook the same calendar year, a full refund less 5% administrative fee and $80 per class test materials set will be returned.  We must firmly enforce the policy set forth and cannot make exceptions.  We encourage you to peruse travel and trip insurance.  We have looked at many scenarios and under normal requests and coverage the cost is not excessive in cost.    Check out www.insuremytrip.com for a comprehensive look at many vacation adventure insurance policy options.
